Coal storage bin

The bin is constructed from plate/shell elements and supported on a structure consisting of columns and bracing modelled as beam elements.

The applied load is a shear and hydrostatic load on the inside surface of the bin. The shear load is automatically applied as a plate face shear attribute, using an equation as the input. The hydrostatic pressure is applied as a plate normal pressure. The contour plot shows the radial displacements.
