Strand7 Pty Ltd (formerly G+D Computing Pty Ltd) was established in 1988 to provide computational engineering solutions, initially to Australia and now worldwide.

The Strand7 software, our flagship product, is a general purpose finite element analysis system, designed for Windows®. Strand7 is used in a wide range of applications in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Aeronautical and Biomedical engineering.

The entire Strand7 system is researched and developed by a single development team and this has resulted in a highly integrated system.

We aim to provide a complete engineering analysis service to our customers.

This includes:

  • the Strand7 software and its continual development at a reasonable price,
  • superior hot-line technical support to the users of Strand7,
  • theoretical and practical courses in the finite element method and the use of Strand7,
  • structural analysis, design and verification.
We are very responsive to the needs of the engineering community and we endeavour to incorporate feedback from users, into our software and our services. We strive to correct any errors that may be found in our software, as soon as they are brought to our attention. Our commitment to our users has been a major factor contributing to the success of Strand7.
