ST7-1.57.20.11 User Defined Plate-Shell Matrix
Strand7 supports the definition of User Defined Plate (UDP) elements, which allow the definition of plates with arbitrary stiffness characteristics - as defined by a plate stiffness matrix. The stiffness properties of such plates may be derived in an analytic manner, supplied from a manufacturer, or calculated by a numerical sub-model. The last option is explored in this Webnote. User defined plates can be used to model corrugated cladding and other tesselated structure.
