Import ANSYS File: Element Types

Description

ANSYS uses ET to define an element type. The defined element type is set as the active element type. Values for element option keys 1-6 may also be specified.

ANSYS uses TYPE to set a previously defined element type as the active element type.

ANSYS uses KEYOPT to define values for element option keys specific to the active element type.

Active Element Type

Strand7 sets the defined element type as the active element type and associates any specified element option keys with the active element type.
