Import ANSYS File: Surface Loads
Description
ANSYS uses SFBEAM to apply surface loads to beam elements according to the local or global axes conventions specified for a particular element type. Valid load labels include PRES. Strand7 assigns the surface loads as beam principal distributed force, beam global distributed force and beam pipe pressure attributes.
ANSYS uses SFE to apply surface loads to plate and brick elements according to the local face and edge numbering conventions for a particular element type. Valid load labels include PRES, CONV, RAD and HFLUX. Strand7 assigns the surface loads for plate elements as plate normal face pressure, plate edge pressure, plate convection coefficient and ambient temperature, plate radiation coefficient and ambient temperature, and plate heat flux. Strand7 assigns the surface loads for brick elements as brick normal face pressure, brick convection coefficient and ambient temperature, brick radiation coefficient and ambient temperature, and brick heat flux.
ANSYS uses SFCUM to specify the accumulation method for surface load values in accordance with load labels PRES, CONV, RAD and HFLUX. SFCUM applies to loads specified by the SFBEAM and SFE commands. Strand7 references the accumulation method for each load label when surface loads are applied along beam principal or global axis directions, or to local faces and edges of plate and brick elements, which have been previously assigned a value.
ANSYS uses SFSCALE to scale previously defined surface load values in accordance with load labels PRES, CONV, RAD and HFLUX, and the element set defined by ESEL. Strand7 applies the scaling factor to the beam distributed force, beam pipe pressure, plate and brick normal face pressure, plate normal edge pressure, plate and brick convection, plate and brick radiation, and plate and brick heat flux attributes assigned to the elements defined by the current element set.
Time and Temperature Varying Values
Strand7 allows time or temperature varying convection, radiation and heat flux values to be assigned with a tabular boundary condition of array type TABLE and primary variables TIME or TEMP. Time varying or temperature varying plate and brick convection coefficient, radiation coefficient and heat flux attributes are assigned with a Factor vs Time or Factor vs Temperature table. Time varying plate or brick convection ambient temperature and radiation ambient temperature attributes are assigned Factor vs Time tables.
