Results: Reference Displacement

Description

Enables displacement results and deformed displays in a result case to be presented relative to the corresponding displacements in another result case.

All displacement results including contours, graphs, peek and listings are affected.

The reference displacements may also be applied to the deformed display.

Dialog

Absolute displacement results are presented.

Previous case

Displacement results are computed relative to displacements in the previous result case.

This option is useful for showing the changes in displacements between result cases or result steps of a nonlinear or time-stepping solution.

Specific case

Displacement results are computed relative to displacements in the result case selected from the dropdown list.

This option is useful in the staged analysis of soil models whereby displacements relative to an in-situ state (typically the first result case) are required.

Apply to deformed display

If set, the reference displacements are also applied to the display of the deformed shape in the model window.

If not set, the deformed model uses the calculated total displacements.
