Geometry Tools: Detach Faces

Description

Detaches selected faces from adjacent (and connected) faces to create internal free edges.

The function can be useful when adjacent faces with large gaps have been morphed but have produced excessive distortion.

Criteria used to determine if faces should be detached.

Individual faces

Each selected face is detached from all adjacent faces.
Clusters of faces

Each selected face is detached from adjacent faces that are not selected.
Clusters of groups

Each selected face is detached from adjacent faces that are not selected or are not in the same group.
