Node Attributes: Acceleration

Description

Assigns acceleration to selected nodes using three orthogonal components and a coordinate system.

The attribute generates nodal forces when acting on mass but does not define the initial acceleration in transient dynamic problems.

Acceleration attributes are load case dependent.

Coordinate System

The coordinate system (UCS) in which the acceleration components are defined.

The UCS is used only to define the global Cartesian components of the acceleration. Subsequent changes to the UCS do not affect the direction or magnitude of the acceleration.
