This Webnote outlines procedures to create Moment vs Axial Force and Moment vs Curvature diagrams.
A rectangular hollow section is studied. The example follows the European Code EC2 design assumptions, but the procedure is similar for other codes.
Choose File/New and create a new model with units of Nmm.
Choose Create/Node to create nodes at the following positions: (X=0; Y=0; Z=0); (X=1000; Y=0; Z=0); (X=0; Y=1500; Z=0); (X=1000; Y=1500; Z=0).
