ST7-1.50.30.6 Using Normal Pressure to Fold a Box
The plate normal pressure attribute updates the direction of applied load as the structure deforms in a geometric nonlinear analysis. This means it can be used to apply load which causes structure to fold or wrap around other structure. In this Webnote we examine the folding of a box from a flat creased aluminium plate. The load is then released and the spring-back effect is measured.
