Beam Attributes: Pipe Radius

Description

Assigns a constant radius to selected beam elements of type pipe, enabling the analysis of curved pipes.

Pipe radius attributes are independent of load and freedom cases.

Value

Pipe radius.

Pipe radius is always positive. If pipe radius is shorter than half the distance between the pipe end nodes, the radius is ignored and a straight pipe is used.

Plane

The principal planes in which the pipe curves. Pipes can only be curved in one plane.

  Principal plane 2 as defined by the beam's 2 and 3 axes.
