Beam Attributes: Pipe Temperature

Description

Assigns internal and external surface temperature to selected beam elements of type pipe.

Produces a thermal strain if the thermal expansion coefficient is assigned in the property set. If pipe temperatures are not assigned, both internal and external temperatures are set to the reference temperature.

This attribute is used only by the structural solvers; it is not applicable to heat transfer analysis.

Pipe temperature attributes are load case dependent.

External same as nodes

Sets the external temperature to the same temperature applied at the nodes of the element. When unchecked, the external temperature can be specified independently.
