Vertex Attributes: Mesh Size

Description

Assigns a vertex mesh size to selected vertices.

The vertex mesh size attribute controls the edge length of elements created by the surface automesher.

Depending on how it is applied, the attribute can control the edge length around a single vertex, along a geometry edge, or on an entire face:

• When applied to a single vertex (on edges defined by two vertices), the attribute controls the element edge length directly around the vertex.

• When applied to both vertices of an edge, the element edge length is linearly interpolated along the edge. In cases where both vertices have the same mesh size, a constant element edge length is produced. Deviation from this may occur if there are other geometric features nearby.
  

• When applied to all vertices of a face, the attribute controls the edge length for all elements created on that face.
