Beam Attributes: Heat Transfer Radiation Coefficient

Description

Assigns a radiation coefficient to selected ends of beam elements.

Applicable only to nonlinear heat transfer analysis.

Models uniform heat flow via radiation through the cross section of the beam end to or from an ambient environment. The attribute is paired with a beam end radiation ambient temperature attribute, which together define the heat flow rate.

The coefficient can be scaled as a function of time and/or temperature.

Radiation coefficient attributes are load case dependent.
