Beam Attributes: Heat Transfer Radiation Ambient Temperature
Description
Assigns a radiation ambient temperature to selected ends of beam elements.
Applicable only to nonlinear heat transfer analysis.
Models uniform heat flow via radiation through the cross section of the beam end. The attribute is paired with a beam end radiation coefficient attribute, which together define the heat flow rate.
The ambient temperature can be scaled as a function of time.
Radiation ambient temperature attributes are load case dependent.
Dialog
Value
Radiation ambient temperature at the beam end.
Temperature vs Time table
A table that varies the ambient temperature as a function of time.
Applicable only to the transient heat solver.
